Is there a cost for printing contracts?
You can print as many versions of your draft contract as you wish free of charge.
To print out the final version of your contract you will need to buy Print Credits to the value of the hardcopy version contract you are printing.
Each print credit is worth £1+ VAT. You will need to purchase the amount to cover the cost of your contract. E.g. if the cost of the hardcopy contract is £18.14, you will need to buy £19 worth of Print Credits.
A reminder of the cost of your contract is given when you press ‘Print’ or you can check the JCT Contracts’ Pricelist. The prices of hardcopy contracts can be found here

Why are the digital contracts released after the print publication?
We can’t start to create the Rapidocs file for the JCT Digital Service until the data for the print version is approved for press, in case there are last minute changes.
Brand new contracts will usually be available on the Digital Service two months from the print publication date.
This is due to the time it takes for the creation and addition of the Q+A guidance that many JCT Digital users rely on. The questions need be authored, approved, inserted into the software, and then all the possible permutations need be carefully checked.
For revisions to contracts, the digital service usually follows one month after publication of the print contract.
When amending contracts it would be helpful to be able to print off a list of all the questions/variables that must be completed for each particular contract.
A list of questions and answers can be appended to the print out by selecting the check box "include answers at the end" in the print dialog. This does not distinguish between required and optional questions however.
How do I print a range of pages in “draft mode”?
